Ive never been a big lipstick person, I was always that clear lipgloss type of person. After all these years I decided its time I need alittle change and add some color into the mix. Ive been hearingso much latley about how great matte lip gloss is and I really wanted to give it a try. Ive always been a fan of lip gloss, I like how it makes my lips look and how easy it is to apply to the form of my lips.
Lime Crime Velvetines lip glosses come in a variety of colors from pinks, purples, and darker colors like black. I purchased a color called faded which is like a pale purplish color, it comes in a 2.6 ml tube with an easy to apply applicator. It comes in a very pretty frosted tube and stylish box, the tub is thick but short and is the perfect size to fit right inside a travel makeup bag to take on the go.
When I first applied thus gloss it felt very watery, but I must say I was very impressed by how quickly it dried and left a beatiful pigmented looking color. The color dries very bold and stayed on the same way as when I applied it even after I ate and drank., it is said to be waterproof and that is exactly what it is. Being a matte color it did make my lips look and feel kind of dry, I added a small amount of a clear lip gloss to add alittle extra shine and hydration to the look.
