Cutting up a watermelon with a knife always causes a disaster in my kitchen and it always makes the pieces look so messy. My first time using this was a disaster, it was difficult for me to get the hang of it. After a few more using it was alittle easier and was very helpful that it can pick up the pieces after being cut just like using tongs. This is great to use to gut out a watermelon into small pieces but can not cut through the skin of it. It doesnt have the strength or a blade to break the skin, so using it when i wanna enjoy a whole piece wouldnt work. But it is a good tool to use when making a fruit salad and makes cutting easier and less messy.
