I love everything about the summer time, the warm weather, the beach days, BBQ's, and so much more. The only thing I dislike about this time of the year is the bugs, especially the mosquitos. Ive been looking for a bug repellent spray that is safe for both adults and children, doesnt irritate our skin, and actually works at preventing bites.
Maywood Creek Essentials makes a great line of organic, handcrafted, and all natural products. This bug spray is a part of that great line, its made up of all natural ingredients to prevent bug bites. It contains distilled water, which hazel, isopropyl alcohol, vegetable glycerin, lemon eucalyptus essential oil, and tea tree oil. It comes in a 8 oz spray bottle for easy application, it a very thin and water like consistency and is clear in color. when applied it quicky dries and doesnt leave my skin feeling greasy, sticky, or oily like some other bug repellents ive used.
I really like how this company handicrafts there products, they make each batch fresh by hand as ordered. Being that I use this spray on my young children ages 9, 7, and 2 I can never be to carful with what I use. It makes me feel better knowing that I am using a freshly made product containg organic ingredients to there skin and not some product containing harsh ingredients that was sitting on the shelf for the last two years in a warehouse or store.
When I used this product for the first time I put it to the ultimate test, i first went put with no spray on to make sure it was a buggy night out. After getting about 4 bites in just a few minutes I applied this bug repellent spray to all bare skin ( arms, legs, neck,) and a small amount over my clothes. I was very impressed to see that after I applied I didnt get bite at all, not even once and I was outside for a good two hours. It works by repelling the bugs away with its bold scent that the mosquitos dislike, I personally love the way this spray smells. It has a lemony citronella scent to it that doesnt wear off quickly.
